All iPhone users are aware that the Status Bar on their iPhone has a time indicator, which allows them to check the time by just looking at the Status Bar from various interfaces. But there are instances when you want to know the date and have to browse to the Home Screen or the Lock Screen to find out.

I’ve often wondered why Apple didn’t put a date indication in the iPhone Status Bar, and guess what? This functionality is now available on iPadOS, which begs the question of why it hasn’t been brought to the iPhone or iPod Touch until now, particularly given the device’s notch’s additional room.

Fortunately, if you are a jailbreaker, you no longer have to wait for Apple to deliver this functionality for the iPhone or iPod Touch. You may simply utilize iOS developer ETHN’s new and free jailbreak modification TimeStamp. This jailbreak guarantees that the Status Bar’s time indicator shows both the time and the date at 10 second intervals. Essentially, every 10 seconds, the time is shown on the device’s Status Bar, and after 10 seconds, it is turned into the date, and so on.

Your date will be shown in mm/dd format, and you’ll be relieved to know that this date indicator differs somewhat from the date indicator on the iPad. The iPad’s Status Bar date indicator shows the date in Sat Apr 10 format, however this jailbreak hack displays the date in 4/10 format.

One thing to keep in mind with TimeStamp is that there are no other configuration choices related with this jailbreak hack. And if you want to view the date and time on the Status Bar, this is unquestionably the best method to do it. We like how this jailbreak modification works since it doesn’t shove the date underneath the clock as many other jailbreak changes do.

TimeStamp is available for free download from ETHN’s personal repository using your preferred package manager. This hack works with jailbroken iOS 13 and 14 smartphones that are notched. If you aren’t already using ETHN’s personal repository, just add this URL to your preferred package manager:

Do you intend to install TimeStamp on your hacked device, or are you content with looking at the Home Screen to establish the current date? Tell us what you think in the comments area!
