The WhatsApp Call Links functionality is not yet supported by the desktop version.
Last month, Mark Zuckerberg revealed that WhatsApp will be gaining a Call Links feature. Users may use this feature to invite others to a new call or to enable them to join an existing call. According to a recent rumor, WhatsApp has now began to push out this capability to a large user base. Notably, these linkages may enable up to 32 persons to participate in a teleconference at the same time. Furthermore, the connection is expected to remain valid for up to 90 days.
According to an Android Police report, report, WhatsApp has begun to expand the Call Link functionality on a bigger scale. The option to create a Call Link appears at the top of the Calls page. Gadgets 360 also discovered this functionality in the most recent stable Whatsapp for Android version.
The ‘Create call link’ option provides a one-of-a-kind call link that is valid for up to 90 days. You may also choose between video and phone calls in this section. The menu also includes many sharing choices. You may share the link straight via WhatsApp conversation or copy and paste it into other applications.
This capability seems to be missing from WhatsApp’s desktop version. When you open a WhatsApp call link on your PC, it takes you to a screen with more choices for joining the call from your phone. To join the call, scan the QR code or copy the call link.
