Flipverse now features fifteen companies and around 100 goods.

On October 17, e-commerce behemoth Flipkart announced the introduction of Flipverse, a metaverse purchasing platform for its customers. For the launch, Flipkart worked with Web3 firms such as eDAO and Polygon. The initial phase of Flipverse is exclusively accessible for Android users and will be available till October 23. Flipverse is accessible through the FireDrops portion of Flipkart’s Android app.

Flipverse now allows customers to sample a virtual reality purchasing experience. Puma, Nivea, Tokyo Talkies, Himalaya, and VIP are among the fifteen companies on board, with around 100 goods shown in Flipverse. Flipverse now supports supercoins and digital valuables.

Companies, according to Flipkart, seek to “flip” the narrative of purchasing for consumers through the metaverse.

With two-way communication in the metaverse, the goal is to bring customers closer to their favorite companies.

“The metaverse provides practically limitless opportunities for innovation and self-expression.” Commerce in the virtual world is more than just developing the standard shopping experience in 3D; it is also about making shopping enjoyable.”, stated Flipkart on the official Firedrops Twitter account.

“The Flipverse helps bridge the best of the online and offline shopping experiences by providing companies with a new method to tell their narrative, engage with customers on a more personal level, and immersive locations with items exhibited inside,” the e-commerce platform noted.

Here’s how to shop in Flipverse.

  1. Go to https://firedrops.flipkart.com/qr-page.html on your PC.
  2. Click ‘Enter Flipverse’ and use an Android smartphone to scan the code on the screen.
  3. You will be sent to the FireDrops app. Select a username.
  4. Select Flipverse from the menu.
  5. Your avatar will be sent to Flipverse. The available goods will be shown.
  6. You may use the on-screen controls to browse and look at the available bargains.

A number of e-commerce businesses are using technology to provide additional purchasing options to customers. Amazon Live, a live-streaming video service to advertise items on their marketplace, was debuted in India around three weeks ago. Amazon had teamed with social media influencers to organize livestreams in order to provide consumers with an interactive buying experience.
