AltStore is one of the solutions that may still be used to install IPA files on iOS 13 and iOS 14. Cydia Impactor does not support free certificates for sideloading applications on your iPhone and iPad, however AltStore 1.3 addresses this. Furthermore, AltStore may use AltDaemon to activate and deactivate programs as well as sign IPAs without requiring a computer.

Install AltStore

AltStore and AltServer have been published with public support for installing custom IPA files including applications and games from version 1.3. To install an IPA file, open Safari and share it with AltStore, or choose the file from your iCloud drive under the “My Apps” page. Versions for Windows 10 and macOS are available.

  1. Get AltServer for Windows or AltServer for Mac.
  2. Unzip the downloaded “AltServer.zip” file.
  3. Launch AltServer.exe.

Download the AltStore Beta version.

Because AltStore and AltServer are open-source projects, Thunder7yoshi developed AltStore Windows for anybody who wants to utilize the Beta version, which includes support for signing IPA files and adding own sources on iOS. The app will display as an icon in the Notification Area after installation.

  1. Get the AltServer Beta for Windows or the AltServer Beta for Mac.
  2. Using PeaZIP, extract the downloaded “AltServer.Beta.Build.rar” file.
  3. Enter “Thunder7yoshi” as the password to extract all files.

IPA AltStore

  1. Download and install the Filza app on your smartphone.
  2. Get the AltStore IPA package (version 1.4).
  3. Email Filza the downloaded file.
  4. To install, double-click the IPA file.

What exactly is AltStore?

Using a computer and your Apple ID and password, the AltStore software can install IPA files onto your iOS device. Because of the licensing of several dependencies utilized by AltStore (developed by Jay Freeman), the developer published the program under the AGPLv3 license (open source). Furthermore, the latest version is compatible with iOS 14.

You may use the program to re-sign and install any app using your Apple ID, upload applications over WiFi using AltServer, refresh apps in the background to prevent them from expiring (when connected to the same WiFi as AltServer), and manage all app updates via AltStore for Windows and Mac.

The free development certificate enables you to install up to three applications per device and sign a maximum of ten IDs. After signing, you must connect your iPhone to your PC and restart the installation procedure every 7 days. The beta also allows you to activate and deactivate applications simply by dragging and dropping them.

Furthermore, AltStore allows you to deactivate signed programs, enabling you to choose between apps (up to 10) without being limited to three. Users who have jailbroken their device may also install AltDaemon, an on-device signing daemon that operates as a local AltServer, enabling AltStore to install programs without the need for a computer.

The official AltStore Beta is not free to the public, and you can only obtain the most recent compiled build by supporting Riley Testut on Patreon. Why is it critical to utilize the most recent AltStore Beta? Starting with version 1.3 b2, any IPA file may be installed on iOS 14, iOS 13, and iOS 12 firmware.

AltStore 1.4 is now available to all Patrons! This beta includes the long-desired option to reload applications using Siri and the Shortcuts app, as well as several critical bug fixes.

On iOS 14, AltStore has included widgets from version 1.4. You can now see when each of your sideloaded applications expires directly from your Home Screen, ensuring that you never forget to reload them again.

Do you want greater control over when AltStore updates apps?

AltStore now supports background app refreshes with Siri and Shortcuts on iOS 14 – and you can plan when to update your applications using Shortcuts Automations.

AltDaemon has been released from beta, and it increases reliability and power efficiency! AltDaemon, which enables AltStore to install and update applications without the need of a computer, is now accessible for all jailbroken devices via Dynastic Repo. VoiceOver functionality has been enhanced across the app, with a particular emphasis on the My Apps menu.

Finally, there are the standard bug repairs and enhancements to round out this massive update.
