The OnePlus 11 is likely to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, which will be unveiled at the Qualcomm Summit 2022 event.
The OnePlus 11 Pro, the rumored successor to its flagship OnePlus 10 Pro smartphone, is slated to come sans the Pro label in 2023. According to renowned tipper Max Jambor, the new flagship will be called the OnePlus 11 and will not have a ‘Pro’ option. Steve Hemmerstoffer (@Onleaks), another tipper, has also confirmed the allegation. They earlier anticipated that the upcoming flagship model will be known as the OnePlus 11 Pro. Meanwhile, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has yet to say if it would drop the Pro brand entirely for the 11 series, or whether it will debut it later in 2023.
Tipster Max Jambor (Twitter: @MaxJmb) responded to a question about whether a Pro model will be released, saying, “Not till Q1 2023 at least.” The gadget we’ll see is pro-specified, but they’ve skipped the Pro name this time.”
OnePlus usually releases two flagship models, one of which is a ‘Pro’ variant in addition to the basic model. In such cases, these models are frequently followed by a T-model later in the year, which is usually a more polished version of the flagship model. However, the corporation has not followed through on this approach in recent years. The OnePlus 10 series debuted in January with the OnePlus 10 Pro, followed by the OnePlus 10T in August. The OnePlus 10 series received no regular OnePlus 10 model.
The rumored successor to the OnePlus 10 Pro was earlier expected to have a 6.7-inch QHD+ AMOLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, triple rear cameras lead by a 50-megapixel primary sensor, and a 5,000mAh battery with support for 100W charging.
The OnePlus 11 Pro is expected to be released in two variants: 8GB + 128GB storage and 16GB + 256GB storage. According to rumors, the forthcoming smartphone will have a Hasselblad-branded triple back camera setup. A 50-megapixel main sensor, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens, and a 32-megapixel telephoto sensor might be included. It is reported to include a 16-megapixel sensor on the front for selfies.
The handset’s connectivity options are reported to include 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS, and a USB Type-C connector. For authentication, it might have an in-display fingerprint sensor. Dolby Atmos-enhanced speakers are reportedly rumoured to be included with the OnePlus 11.
Tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer (@OnLeaks) previously published supposed renderings of the rumored OnePlus 11, which are based on early prototypes of the phone, in partnership with SmartPrix.
Meanwhile, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, which is likely to power the OnePlus 11, will be unveiled at the Qualcomm Summit 2022 event. According to Qualcomm’s events page, The Snapdragon Summit 2022 will take place from November 15 to November 17.
