The lowest edition of the Redmi A1+ with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage costs Rs. 6,999.

The Redmi A1+, Xiaomi’s newest inexpensive model, was released in India on Friday. The new 5G phone has a water-drop notch display and is powered by a MediaTek Helio A22 SoC. The Redmi A1+ comes in three different color schemes with a leather texture finish and an AI-backed 8-megapixel dual camera configuration on the back. It has a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging capabilities. The Redmi A1+ is available in two RAM and storage variants, with a maximum internal storage capacity of 32GB.

Redmi A1+ pricing and availability in India

The Redmi A1+ is priced starting at Rs. 6,999 for the basic 2GB RAM + 32GB storage option. The phone is also available in a 3GB + 32GB variant for Rs. 7,999. It is available in Black, Light Blue, and Light Green. Starting October 17 at 12pm IST, the device will be available for purchase in India via Flipkart, Mi.com, Mi Home shops, and Xiaomi’s retail partners.

Specifications for the Redmi A1+

The dual-SIM (Nano) Redmi A1+ runs Android 12 and has a 6.52-inch HD+ (1,600×700 pixel) display with a touch sampling rate of 120Hz, a peak brightness of 400 nits, and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The display has a waterdrop-style notch and covers 70% of the NTSC color spectrum. The new Redmi phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio A22 SoC, up to 3GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and an IMG PowerVR GPU.

The Redmi A1+ includes an AI-powered dual rear camera setup with an 8-megapixel main sensor. The phone has a 5-megapixel selfie camera sensor on the front for selfies and video chats. The Redmi A1+ has 32GB of internal storage and can be expanded with a microSD card (up to 512MB) through a dedicated slot.

The Redmi A1+ has 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5, GPS/ A-GPS, Glonass, Beidou, and a 3.5mm audio port for connectivity. The phone has an accelerometer and a fingerprint sensor on the rear. The new Redmi A1+, like the Redmi A1, supports more than 20 Indian languages.

The Redmi A1+ is powered with a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging capabilities. The battery is said to have a standby period of up to 30 days and a video playing capability of up to 30 hours. It also has dimensions of 76.75x 164.9x 9.09mm and weighs 192 grams.
