Despite billionaire Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter, Donald Trump announced on Friday that he intends to utilize his own Truth Social media network.

Former US President Donald Trump said on Friday that he was relieved Twitter was in “sane hands” after Elon Musk officially took charge, but he did not specify whether he would return to the network that banned him.

Trump said that his Truth Social network “looks and operates better.” “I LOVE TRUTH,” Trump said in a Facebook post. Trump was barred from using Twitter after the tragic assault on the US Capitol on January 6, 2021. Musk has said that he would reactivate Trump’s account, although Trump has already stated that he will not return.

Donald Trump stated on Friday that despite Twitter’s takeover by billionaire Elon Musk, who has vowed to restore the former US president’s Twitter account, he intends to utilize his own Truth Social media site.

“I like Elon, but I’m sticking with Truth,” Trump said Fox News in an interview, without directly stating that if his account is reactivated, he would not post on Twitter.

Trump told Fox that when he writes on his own platform, “it gets all over the place regardless.” “Everyone on Twitter and wherever else, they all put it out regardless.”

Musk, a self-described free speech absolutist, took over Twitter with harsh efficiency on Thursday, sacking senior executives but providing little information on how he plans to accomplish his lofty aims for the powerful social media network.

Only hours after Musk launched a new era at Twitter, he was inundated with requests and demands from banned accounts and international leaders.

Others whose Twitter accounts were suspended have had or will shortly have their accounts reopened.

Musk, on the other hand, has affirmed in his most recent tweet that he will organize a content moderation committee at Twitter with a broad range of perspectives.

Before the council meets, there will be no significant content decisions or account reinstatements on the social networking site.
