Apple has unveiled a fully new basic model iPad with a 10.9-inch display and no home button, resulting in uniformly tiny boundaries. The next iPad has flat sides like the current iPad Air and iPad mini and will be available in four colors: silver, blue, yellow, and pink. The Touch ID sensor has been relocated to the top power button. The latest model, the 10th generation iPad, is powered by Apple’s A14 Bionic SoC, has a USB Type-C connection, and for the first time, has its front camera positioned in landscape mode. It still works with the first-generation Apple Pencil, and all units will come with a Lightning converter.

The 64GB Wi-Fi-only edition of the newly redesigned iPad starts at Rs. 44,900. If you pick the 256GB option, the price rises to Rs. 59,900. Wi-Fi plus Cellular choices cost Rs. 59,900 for 64GB and Rs. 74,900 for 256GB. Those who qualify may get education discounts. The iPad (2022) is now on pre-order and will be available in several regions on October 26.
Apple will continue to offer the 9th Generation iPad, which features a 10.2-inch display and an Apple A13 Bionic SoC, for Rs. 33,900 and Rs. 48,900 for the 64GB and 256GB Wi-Fi-only versions, and Rs. 46,900 and Rs. 61,900 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular variants.
In India, the first-generation Apple Pencil costs Rs. 9,500, while the USB Type-C adaptor alone costs Rs. 900. Apple also offers attachments such as the Magic Keyboard Folio and Smart Folio.

According to Apple, the A14 Bionic SoC in the next iPad (2022) will provide 20% greater performance and 10% better graphics than the previous generation. Apple also promises 5X higher performance than the best-selling MediaTek Android tablet on the market today, but no particular model is mentioned. The new iPad is intended for those looking for a tablet for productivity, education, communication, and entertainment.
The new 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display features a 1640×2360 pixel resolution and a brightness of 500 nits. When holding the new iPad in landscape mode, the front-facing camera is now on top. It has a 12-megapixel sensor and a 122-degree field of vision, and it supports Center Stage automated reframing based on how many people are in front of it and in what positions. The back 12-megapixel camera now supports 4K video capture as well as 120fps slow-motion video. You also get stereo speakers that are positioned to operate best in landscape mode.
A long-awaited switch to USB Type-C interface implies speedier wired file transfers and charging, as well as extensive accessory compatibility. With the cellular-enabled models, the iPad (2022) also includes Wi-Fi 6 and optional 5G.
