There are just a few open-source jailbreak tools available, and Blizzard Jailbreak is one of the more intriguing ones that has been published recently. The initial Beta supports iOS 11.0 through 11.4.1, however the developer plans to expand compatibility for iOS 12, as well as iOS 13.0 through 13.5. All devices, including A12 and A13 models, will be supported.
What exactly is Blizzard Jailbreak?
Blizzard Jailbreak is an open source jailbreak tool for iOS developed by GeoSn0w as part of the #OpenJailbreak initiative. This version is intended for first-time jailbreak developers who wish to learn how to construct their own iOS jailbreaks. The code is straightforward, with just the required components included.
Blizzard Jailbreak will support all smartphones running iOS 11.0 up to 11.4.1, all iOS 12, and all devices running iOS 13.0 up to iOS 13.5, including A12 and A13 models. The first Beta version of the Blizzard hack was tested on iOS 11.0 through 11.4.1.
The Blizzard Jailbreak’s default package manager is Zebra, however users may simply install any third-party package management such as Cydia, Installer 5, or Sileo. Zebra is a contemporary and quick iOS package manager. The jailbreak includes unc0ver Substitute and Sam Bingner’s Elucubratus strap, although Procursus may also be installed. This option is accessible before the device is jailbroken.
Keep be note that moving from another tool may erase customizations depending on the bootstrap (Elucubratus or Procursus, both free source). Blizzard Jailbreak is intended for developers who want to learn how to jailbreak iOS, and it includes fully commented components and documentation. Because the jailbreak creates a snapshot before extracting its data, restoring the ROOT FS and un-jailbreaking to clean, stock iOS is a breeze.
The Blizzard Jailbreak open source repository is now available. The jailbreak is not yet complete, and it is not yet advised to the general public (developer only). GitHub hosts all of the sources.
AMFI Utilities, APFS Utilities, Blizzard Jailbreak, Helper Libraries, Kernel Utilities, PatchFinder, sock port, sock port UITests, sock port tests, and Blizzard Jailbreak.xcodeproj are all included in the Blizzard repository.
